South Carolina Open Results:

In an effort to stimulate club activity, we have implemented a point system that accumulates starting from the beginning of the year.  The person who accumulates the most points by the years end will be awarded a prize (to be announced).  Some ideas for the prize are free entry into our annual event the Lee Hyder Memorial.  More ideas are welcome.

The Point system is as follows:  One point for each ladder game.  One point for each tournament.  1/2 point for  club meetings.

Who has the most points? Follow this link:  Point system

Aiken County Chess Club is a forum where local chess enthusiasts participate in friendly competition. Anyone interested in the game of chess is encouraged to come play with us. All levels of experience and all ages are welcome. There are no dues associated with being a club member either. That's right; we are free. If you have a set and chess clock, please bring them. We play on member-provided chess sets and meet approximately every other Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Stoplight Deli, a great place for lunch, located at 119 Laurens Street, NW Aiken, South Carolina. E-mails are sent out on a regular basis to our mailing list to ensure everyone is aware of  the next meeting. If you would like to be on our mailing list, please provide us your email address.
